About
The room, the table,
and the slow work behind it.
Cigar Haven Club is a privately-held cigar club for the discerning enthusiast. Membership is by application, the humidor is curated by people whose working life it is, and the room is built for the conversation, not the camera. What follows is the short version of how we keep it that way, and the steward currently writing from the lounge this month.
- Curated
A small circle, by application
We read every membership submission ourselves. The cap exists to protect the room, not the brand.
- Provenance
Direct sourcing, named farms
Wrapper, binder, filler — every stick's origin is documented to the lot. Allocation rotates seasonally with the harvest.
- Ritual
A room built around the conversation
No phones at the table. Acoustically treated. Lighting calibrated to read the band without leaning in. The room is the point.
- Stewardship
Working tobacconists, not hosts
Each tasting is led by a master tobacconist who can walk you through the cut, the cap, the draw — not a sommelier reciting tasting notes.
Member Spotlight
James Okafor
“What the room teaches you, slowly, is that the best conversation starts when nobody reaches for their phone.”
James joined Cigar Haven Club in 2024 after a decade leading private dining programmes in Mayfair. He runs orientation for new members and pairs the seasonal tasting flights. His Letter from London column on the Journal tracks the ethical-sourcing conversations happening across European private rooms this season — what is moving on allocation, what is aging on our own shelves, and what is being passed on.

Current Humidor Rotation
Corojo season — the room smells faintly of red earth from the bands alone.
Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado by Oliva Cigar Co.
Aged dark rum, neat.
The figurado has been the most requested shape of the year and the lot we set aside finally rested long enough.
Ashton VSG Robusto by Ashton Cigars
Black tea, lightly sweetened.
A familiar anchor on the shelf while the rest of the rotation moved around it.
Padrón 1964 Anniversary Exclusivo by Padrón Cigars
Single-origin pour-over coffee.
Pulled forward a box from the cedar reserve to give the late-summer tastings a heavier mid-rotation.
Upcoming Rotation
The aging line looks after itself — we just keep the room at sixty-eight.
Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3 by Davidoff
Liga Privada No. 9 Belicoso by Drew Estate
Tatuaje Cohete by Tatuaje Cigars
Replaces current rotation on October 1, 2026
